But what is not enough?
It's not enough to only 'WANT' to start a business. It's not enough to wait for an ideal business idea to come to you - (that might take some time). It's not enough to ask of someone else to give you the answer of what you should be doing...

Either you see an idea clearly, you know exactly what you are passionate about, OR IF YOU ARE THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE and you have no clue...You have to WORK it out, figure it out, decipher the code within YOU - yourself! An ideal business idea should come from within YOU.

Stare ahead and stay in your lane...

This is some of the best business advice for any entrepreneur, especially if you are in the startup phase of your business.
.
It is SO easy and lucrative to look at what other entrepreneurs are doing and telling yourself that you are learning from them, or being inspired, but TRUTH BOMB...you are keeping yourself from moving forward faster. Especially in the beginning it is easy to become overwhelmed by what others have achieved in their businesses already. You compare your progress and where you are at the moment to others who might have gone through total different journey than you, or who might have been in the game much longer, might have failed, started again, but whose hunger for success kept them going until they achieved the success they deserve - and who kept focusing on their own journey mostly.
.
Social media is not making it much easier either, so you have to be disciplined and stay in your own lane.
.
By all means, allow some leadway for learning and being inspired, but don't constantly look at what others are doing left and right from you while yiu loose focus on what YOU are busy with. If you are not driving your business with action, you will only be distracted and lose focus of your own plan, become overwhelmed and feel stuck.
.
Have you felt stuck because you keep consuming too much instead of creating and driving your own progress forward more? I know I have, and the problem was not focusing on my own business the most!

Let's be perfectly honest, we all want to attract our dream clients more than we chase them! And yes it takes some trial and error to get into the groove, but once you're into it, you're into it baby!😁 .
Here are five easy to implement steps to attract your dream audience well:

1. Lazer focus your message towards ONE specific audience need and talk to one person with a very specific problem you can solve.
.
2. Tease your caption! Yeah that's right, evoke curiosity and ensure you deliver so that your reader's curiosity is satisfied. Pretty much like this post!😉
.
3.Make it interesting! Tell a story...a good story has more than a beginning, middle and end. A good story will tease you, will hook you, will take you on a journey and keep you interested in the outcome and have you satisfied with the ending.
.
4. Make it memorable!! Ask yourself what makes people remember certain stories, advice, content, lessons and not others? Most likely it is the factor of relateablility. Be transparent and vulnerable so that people can resonate with your message and remember it!
.
5. Your content should accompany visually appealing photos! Your photos should have the following elements if you want to attract people to your content:
➡️Effort is key, ➡️a sense of confidence, ➡️there should be some attitude being displayed in the photo, ➡️it should be clear and good quality in good lighting. ➡️Make it unique - different is better than better!!➡️ Make it stand out with bold color!

Don't fret if it's not perfect from the get go, the important thing is being aware and working to improve as you go along.

Why moms quit!
I see you mom…you are sitting at your desk every day, daydreaming about being home, having more time, having more control of your day and wanting to be there for your kids more. You can feel a shift happening inside of your heart, and you just know, you want more…

The truth is that I have been where you are. I know how it feels to drag myself out of bed every morning and go to a job to earn an average salary, living an average life, having average vacations. .
But you have actually had enough.

I don't want to say too much about these words because it is pretty self-explanatory, just that this mindset will always help you take action, move forward, do the things that will help you grow and have you look back after many 'next steps' to say "Look how far I've come, It was worth it, I'm so glad I went for it".

This means that you need to use different storytelling techniques for different platforms. For example, what is working on Insta might not always work on Facebook. It is true about all the online platforms.

It is therefore VITAL to ensure your content is set out for the correct state of mind of your target audience.
.
This will influence the receptiveness of the content you post as well as how successful your marketing strategies, images, captions and layouts are in captivating and attracting real leads and how connected people feel to make them take the action you want them to.
.
It depends on:
~People's mindset when they are on the specific platform.
~The product offering.
~Your audience.
~And the storytelling you use.
~How interesting, educational, inspiring or entertaining your information is.
.
Think about the mindset of your audience on different platforms:
**Pintetest - Mostly women who are in inspiration/buy mode.
**Youtube - entertain and educate mode - send leads to other platforms like Insta or your website via a lead magnet.
**Inatagram - Connection building, education, inspiration, entertainment. Buy when triggered correctly (speak to a painpoint when posting an offer).
**Facebook - community, education, curiosity to click on links and explore further without immediate commitment.
**LinkedIn - business connections.
To name a few of the main ones...

You are most definitely not going to advertise or connect with your audience in the same way on each platform. So my advice is to do your homework on your ideal client first. Make sure you know where they are and that you speak to them in a way that will resonate with the mindset they are in.
.

How multiple income streams work? .
It works on the principle of accumulation. That means, it has a snowball-effect. The more streams of income you generate, the more money you will have and the easier it will become to generate more money, reinvest to further grow your buildup and the more financial abundance you will have. .
The beginning naturally is more difficult, but as you continue to expand, the easier it will become. .
Also, don’t hesitate because a small extra income stream does not seem viable to grow exponentially. A big mistake is to underestimate the effect that small income streams can have. .
But the specific point I want to address here is the advantage of starting a business as an extra stream of income, IF YOU STILL HAVE A JOB. .
Most business models require some sort of investment, no matter how small (things like website hosting, domain name, programs, certain software, hardware etc all cost money and are required for a business to get running professionally). The thing that most people don't realize is that a business can grow the money you invest into it much more than you can earn interest from a bank account.
.
Generally and usually, if done right, business revenue just is much higher than interest earned in an investment account. .
So the crux is that if you compare trying to save money and earn interest in a bank account VS building a business, a business is a better investment hands down. .
Have you ever thought about starting a business as being a better investment than having money in a bank account?

As my hubby says: Most people have their savings in a savings or low interest investment account; and those that don't (aka having larger investment accounts), have BUSINESSES! .

Make yourself FLY...LET’S TALK MONEY!! Did you know that the average millionaire has seven streams of income?! .
Say what?
That might sound like a lot, but these people are smart when it comes to realizing the importance of back-up income, passive income and complimentary income. Multiple recurring and passive income streams absolutely have become a necessity today. It is no more a nice to have. High unemployment rates are part of our current reality. If you have the “safety” of a job, you are relying on something that is – at the end of the day, as the past decade have proven – not guaranteed to anyone. A job is not fully fail-proof and is totally out of your control if anything like a job loss occurs. The biggest problem is that most moms only have their job’s income to fall back onto and should anything happen, they are out of an income, or the financial stress falls entirely onto their partner.
.
Let us delve right into this subject. .
Why are multiple income streams important?
.
~It serves as a safety net.
You want to be proactive, not reactive. Anything can happen and if you lose your job for whatever reason, you will have income streams to fall back onto.
.
~It reduces the risk of desperation occupations when things go wrong.
Being desperate and settling for jobs that you might not want in your life – like a low paying job, long hours, excessive stressful or with high expectations, is not an ideal situation to find yourself in.
.
~It gives control and financial stability.
You can decide where to focus your attention the most and if you don’t like a certain situation, you can leave it and fall back on your other streams.
.
~Creating your own abundance.
The possibility of creating more money is much more powerful than trying to cut on lifestyle and expenses in order to have more money, which can only take you that far.
.
~It helps you get ahead financially in life.
I really think that all humans would love to be able to ditch stressing over our money. So we need to accept the responsibility to create this for ourselves. No one else is going to do it for you. .

Guilty of checking out!✋

The bar of expectation to deliver on social media is exceptionally high - and with good reason. If you don't show up, it is easier for your followers to forget about you, you loose traction with your community and it affects your engagement&growth. I get that.
.
But, YOU are a mom too. And you are a mom first. And I bet ya that you have much more on your plate than being a mom alone. SO...the past few days I had to check out from Insta a bit. .
I was feeling overwhelmed (typical for entrepreneurs) and drained and tired. So what do I do? I have a household with 3 young kids that are 1st priority, another business that requires my hands on attention on a continuous basis, I am expanding my social media presence to youtube and it's hectic to get started correctly and inbetween I need to attend to Bizmom too. It is HARD. So, instead of overwhelming myself further, I took a step back. But I promised myself "no guilt". I promised myself Quality above quantity. Because I care about what I deliver to my audience. It matters what I put out there and how I help you. .
Was it ideal? Nope. But is it a train smash? Nope. .
At the end of the day we have to stop being so hard on ourselves when it is difficult to keep up. Take a step back and remind ourselves that in an entrepreneurial journey you need to gift yourself the TIME sometimes. It's OK to take your time, it's OK to check out from less than crucial tasks if it is needed, and it's OK to get back into it revived, stronger and ready to take it on again. There's always a way, but being in overwhelm mode is not it!
.

Frustration was an understatement!!
.
Every time I tested my Mailchimp subscription emails, it would be sent to the SPAM or JUNK folders of all the test accounts. I also checked emails that I was subscribed TO, and low and behold, many of them were sent to my junk, spam or promo folders - obviously not known to the senders.
.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and research what was going on. Problem is, I don't speak TECH-MAN!🤣
.
I don't know about you, but I can for the most part (99.999%) not understand a word of tech explanations by men. My brain can.NOT. .
Am I the only one?😋
.
Anyways, long story short, my hubby can! Haha!! He is somehow a self taught tech and IT expert and he came to my rescue and here is what we learnt!
.
If you use Mailchimp (and most likely one of the other campaign email service providers), you may need to validate and authenticate your OWN email domain. For example, mine is @bizmomcoaching.com. So if I want mailchimp to display my address as such and not from it's own server address, I need to valodate and authenticate it within Mailchimp. The default authentification information will also be removed.
.
This simple action (go to settings and then authenticate/validate and action it) will ensure your emails appear professional (sent from your domain address) and that it lands in your clients' INBOXES and not in SPAM folders.
.

Why my first business almost failed, but it didn't...
.
I was only 22 when me and my husband started our very first business.🙈 This was when business was done VERY differently without the social media and online business world. We had no clue how to choose a sustainable business idea, let alone the right business model. But, we started anyway! And boy am I glad we did! It was an adventure for sure!
.
I studied business management travel & tourism and we therefore ended up with a very lucrative travel agency idea: Specializing in Indian Ocean Island holiday packages to islands like Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives and Zanzibar (The amazing islands between Africa and Australia). But there was 2 big issues.😱
.
We entered the HIGHLY competitive "travel agency" market and we were not known to our ideal clients at all!
.
What saved us was the following:
- We niched down and lazer focussed on ONE ideal client persona - hence specialized in Indian Ocean Island packages.
- We immediately started gathering testimonials from every client we booked. .
And I believe that those two factors helped us stand out as SPECIALISTS amongst our competitors in a very cut throat market, whereas our competitors generally were helping a broader target market. And it built trust amongst prospective clients quickly and easily.
.
Fast forward 5 years from startup and we sold that business for a good profit (my husband is actually an engineer and I just realized that the business model has a tight ceiling where we would always have to exchange our time for money).
.

Gone are the days of feeling so guilty about wanting more money in our lives.
We have moved into an era of moneraty consciousness globally.

Because let's be real, money makes the world go round. I am not promoting being money obsessive, but I am saying that there is nothing wrong with wanting enough money. It's about having an abundance mindset and being willing to take responsibility to make it happen. ONLY YOU can do that. .
Money brings freedom, control and lifestyles that are only dared to be dreamt of. And no one is going to give you that type of lifestyle if you don't build it yourself!!

Women are more than ever focussed on getting ahead in life. It's no longer a luxury, it has become very necessary too. Especially when kids are involved. But how do we make it happen?

Here are some tips to get you started:
-Get familiar with additional streams of income ideas. Research and become creative. Making more money should be FUN!
-Get familiar with passive income streams. -Get rid of debt asap.
-Only buy something if you have the money for it.
-Build a business and re-invest your profit so that it can grow (don't spend it all).
-Invest in quality assets like property.
-Scale down on lifestyle.
-Don't buy things you don't need.
-Save.
-Invest. -Remember, you cannot give what you don't have, so stop giving your hard earned money away recklessly before you have found proper financial stability for yourself and your family FIRST. There is a time and place for charity for sure, but it does start at home - and don't let anyone tell you to give what you don't have and that it will come back to you double (or whatever), that is manipulation and then people wonder why they struggle...

These are but a few simple ways to get started with and help push you into an abundant, financially free life. They can all be broken down further into lenghty steps and strategies to help you win, but for now, the first step is to get your mindset right so that you can move your life forward by being mentally empowered for financial abundance.
