The goal is to make your life require less biological effort to operate. That is what Burnout-Proof Systems & Rhythms is really about. To learn how to weave rhythms into your life so that you truly feel you have the Audacity to Thrive.

YOUR BODY HAS A "BACKGROUND OPERATING COST" Think about your laptop. You can have nothing visibly open on the screen and still have 47 processes running in the background. Your battery is draining. Not because you are actively doing anything, but because something is running, or a quite a few things are running...

Your body works similarly. A constantly changing schedule. Notifications. Unfinished decisions. An inbox that makes your stomach tighten. A business that depends on you remembering everything. Late-night stimulation. Poor sleep. Irregular meals. Constant urgency. People-pleasing. Suppressed emotions. A nervous system that doesn't feel completely safe switching off. A calendar with no recovery space. Nothing that makes you BREATHE a little bit more freely.

The above stressors can become background processes.
And the extraordinary thing is that you may stop noticing them. You simply think: "This is my normal." But "normal" and "optimal" are not the same thing.

Even in my own journey I realise this is still happening from time to time, but what helps me is that I have the awareness imbedded and this helps me to take appropriate action and make changes before it affects my capacity.

You may need more simplicity like sunsets, natural light, a fire cracking, listening to running water and LESS modern-day-life energy leakage. This is why capacity restoration often begins with subtraction. Not another productivity hack or asking what is missing. Not waking up at 5am. Not pushing yourself harder. Not adding another supplement. Not squeezing another 30 minutes out of your day.

Instead you may need to consider what you can stop asking your body to carry? How do you allow your body to stop carrying all these things?

That is a completely different question.

Women struggle because we’ve been conditioned to believe that struggle is what life at a specific age, motherhood high achieving and being a woman looks like.

AND WE ACCEPTED IT? Oh yes we did!

And eventually, those beliefs become the invisible rules that drain our capacity.

The truth? You may not have consciously chosen those beliefs, but perhaps you are living it. And you are seeing the fruits of that in how you feel daily.

The good news that no one tells you is that you get to choose whether you keep living by them.

That’s the work.

Notice your symptoms and state and then question the beliefs behind them.
Question it.
Then decide to choose differently.

Do differently to get different results.

Get out of the toxic loop.

Rebuilding your capacity starts with deciding that exhaustion and symptoms and a lack of capacity is no longer the price you’re willing to pay for a life you want.

Just a headsup; it takes a willingness to change to live the life you dream of in the body you dream of. I see every day that women prefer their suffering. Many are unwilling to face the fact that they want quick fixes and refuse to see that what they DO every day is a huge part of how they end up feeling.

LIPIDS are not just "fats", they are the structural foundation of your mitochondria.

Every cell membrane in your body depends on healthy lipids to function, but your mitochondria rely on them even more.

Your nervous system is always asking one question:
"Am I safe?"

It answers that question by looking for consistent signals from both your environment and your interpretation of those experiences.

Morning sunlight. Mealtime quealitu and nutrients. Quality sleep. Gentle movement. Breath. Connection.

These are all powerful environmental inputs that communicate safety to your brain and body.

But here's the part most people don't talk about and gets missed...The meaning you attach to those inputs also shapes your biology.

You can stand in the morning sun every day because someone told you it's "good for you." Yes, it will still provide important light signals to your body and affect your physiology poaitively. But if, at the same time, your inner dialogue is saying: "I'm broken." "I'm failing." "I HAVE to do this"...your nervous system is also receiving those signals.

Your brain doesn't only respond to what you do. It responds to what those actions mean to you. Meaning influences emotion. Emotion influences stress physiology. And over time, repeated patterns help shape the chemistry your body experiences.

That's why healing and reclaiming capacity isn't about adding more protocols. It's about aligning your actions with a message your nervous system can actually believe:

You may not be able to control every chemical released in your body. But you do have the power to influence the signals you send through your environment, your habits, WITH the meaning you choose to give them.

That's your power.

And those consistent messages are what help your nervous system learn trust again.

Cell salts (also called tissue salts or Schüssler

Cell salts (also called tissue salts or Schüssler salts) are preparations containing mineral compounds such as calcium phosphate, potassium phosphate, sodium chloride, magnesium phosphate and silica, traditionally used in biochemic medicine.

They are widely available and very supportive.

They provide minerals in very small, prepared amounts that may support the body’s cellular mineral balance, which is extremely important for resilience and capacity.

Now, here’s the important distinction:

Minerals absolutely matter to your capacity.

Minerals such as magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium and iron are involved in hundreds of essential processes including nerve signalling, muscle function, fluid balance, enzyme activity and cellular energy metabolism. Magnesium alone is required as a cofactor in more than 300 enzymatic reactions. (WHEN ENZYMES FAIL, YOUR CAPACITY FAILS)...

And this is where I find the cell salts fascinating.

Your body needs the right minerals, in the right places, participating in the right physiological processes.

That said, the evidence that cell salts themselves uniquely improve cellular mineral status or increase energy/capacity is still limited, so I wouldn’t describe them as a replacement for adequate nutrition or medically indicated mineral supplementation.

Instead, I think of them as an interesting supportive tool to explore alongside the bigger foundations of capacity:

✨ sleep & circadian rhythm
✨ nervous-system regulation
✨ recovery
✨ metabolic resilience

Building capacity is about giving your body the resources and conditions it needs to function, adapt and recover optimally.

And cellular mineral status is a pretty important piece of that puzzle. ✨

Capacity is not about what you eat... It's about w

Capacity is not about what you eat... It's about what you DO constantly.

Thyroid regulates how fast glucose is burnt. Adrenals regulate the availability of glucose.

When women chronically overwork and push past their natural rhythms, the intricate partnership between the thyroid and adrenal glands breaks down. This disruption creates a metabolic mismatch, leaving cells starved for energy despite plenty of glucose circulating in the blood.

Leptin resistance is the missing link that locks this entire thyroid-adrenal burnout cycle into place. Leptin is the hormone produced by your fat cells that tells your brain you have enough energy stored and can burn calories at a normal rate.

When women overwork and live out of alignment, it disrupts their rhythms, the combination of high cortisol and low thyroid hormones tricks the brain into thinking the body is starving, creating leptin resistance.

Ignoring natural biological rhythms acts as an accelerator for leptin resistance.

Here is the exact chain reaction of pushing past your limits:

1.The Adrenal Flood: Chronic stress forces your adrenals to pump out cortisol, flooding your blood with glucose. But high cortisol blocks insulin, meaning that fuel gets locked out of your cells.
2.The Thyroid Brake: Sensing chaos, your thyroid slows down your metabolism to conserve energy. Cells go starving, leaving you "wired but tired."
3.The Leptin Lock: This constant stress spikes leptin over time (your satiety hormone). Your brain eventually becomes "blind" to it. Despite plenty of circulating glucose, your brain thinks you are starving, triggers intense sugar cravings, in turn storing fat.

Why honouring your rhythms matters deeply:
Your body doesn't run on a linear, 24-hour corporate clock. Pushing through sleep deprivation or crushing high-intensity workouts at the wrong times signals an emergency to your hypothalamus.

Honouring your daily (circadian) and monthly (infradian) cycles is the biological boundary that keeps your hormones firing, your metabolism burning, and your energy thriving. Work with your biology, not against it.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed lately... it might be because your capacity has been shrinking. One thing I've learnt over the last few years is that capacity is something we either re-build or slowly lose.

Three of the biggest capacity thieves I see are:
1. Weak boundaries
When everything is urgent, everything steals from you.
Learning to lovingly say "not today" is one of the most healing things you can do.
2. Energy leaks
Not everything deserves your attention.
Constant notifications. People-pleasing. Mindless scrolling. Unfinished decisions. Living on autopilot.
They all quietly drain your capacity without you even noticing.
3. Broken daily rhythms
Your body thrives on rhythm.
Morning light. Nourishing meals. Movement. Rest. Connection. Time outdoors. A consistent bedtime.
These are the signals that remind your body it is safe to thrive.
"Every 'yes' is also a 'no' to something else."
For a high-achieving mom, every unnecessary "yes" is often a "no" to her peace, her family, her sleep, or her own capacity.

Can I shout that THE RATIO MATTERS?? Now many women come to me because they have tried the light to solve their capacity, burnout and overwhelm. Here's the problem with that. You are doing it as a chore, you are still doing everything else... aka Too much time inside, too much screen time and all the habits we discuss in the Audacity to Thrive Masterclass.

This level of work requires an evolution of self. And that can only happen if we work with your entire LIFE. Not JUST light.

All these red light therapy hacks and bio hacks? USELESS in the greater scheme of things and if you don't understand the greater picture of everything that affects the results you get in life, come learn...

I am by no means perfect at this, I am also working on this very ratio as we speak. It can be challenging considering - well - Modern Life... But there are ways around it.

Start with awareness. Know that small tweaks yield big leaps over time and that is what my work teaches you.

Awareness, patience, strategy and action gets you to your goals.

You thought you were going to get away with it...

I know I did. I thought if I worked harder, learnt more, tried another strategy, or became "better," I'd eventually become the woman I wanted to be, reach my goals and feel amazing. But I soon realised that growth isn't only about adding more. More often, it's about uncovering what's been shaping you and facing your shadow.

Many of us carry old beliefs that were never consciously chosen:
✨ I'm not enough.
✨ I have to earn rest.
✨ Everyone else comes first.
✨ If I fail, I'll disprove myself.

Those beliefs are reinforced by your shadow-self and they don't just continue to live in our minds, they influence the choices we make every day, but over time, those choices shape our capacity. It needs to be confronted.

For me, rebuilding my capacity has meant more than changing my rhythms. That was just the first step. It has meant becoming curious about the stories I inherited...getting to know my shadow and eventually it became unavoidable to face those stories, in turn I had to DECIDE which ones I want to carry into the next chapter of my life.

So much of what we carry inside is an unconscious choice. And in knowing that, lies immense power. A choice can be changed. Awareness isn't the finish line but it's the beginning of inner freedom.
